Strength and Courage, Part 12

Here are five more don't-be-afraids from the Bible.
"The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom shall I dread?"  Psalm 27:1 (NAS)
Makes sense.  We just need to remember it.
"Though a host encamp against me,
My heart will not fear;
Though war arise against me,
In spite of this I shall be confident."  Psalm 27:3 (NAS)
This, for the reason previously stated.
"The Lord will give strength to His people;
The Lord will bless His people with peace."  Psalm 29:11 (NAS)
That makes you want to be His people, doesn't it?
"Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;"  Psalm 46:2 (NAS)
The word "therefore" indicates an antecedent, which in this case is that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
"Do not be afraid when a man becomes rich,
When the glory of his house in increased;"  Psalm 49:16 (NAS)
This Psalm goes on to remind us that the rich are just as mortal as the poor.
Whatever you're facing right now, ask the Lord for direction, then follow and trust.
