The Bible is loaded with "do not fear" statements.
"I shall also grant peace in the land, so that you may lie down with no one making you tremble. I shall also eliminate harmful beasts from the land, and no sword will pass through your land." Leviticus 26:6 (NAS)
This promise was given to the people of Israel as a benefit of adhering to God's law.
"The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance on you,
And give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26 (NAS)
Perfect spot for a mic drop, but the list continues.
"Only do not rebel against the Lord; and do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our prey. Their protection has been removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them." Numbers 14:9 (NAS)
Makes you want to stick with God, doesn't it?
"But the Lord said to Moses, 'Do not fear him, for I have given him into your hand and all his people and his land; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon, king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.'" Numbers 21:34 (NAS)
Israel had requested to travel through Sihon's territory and he declared war on them in return. He lost, and they took over his cities.
""You shall not show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike. You shall not fear man, for the judgment is God's. The case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it." Deuteronomy 1:17 (NAS)
Moses reminded his people to fear God rather than other people. We can use the same reminder.
